There are two main brush categories, namely round and flat.
Round: This gradually tapering brush is a great tool for beginners. Best used for stroke work or watercolours.
Flat: These versatile brushes are straight edged and best used for blending colours, applying washes and glazing.
Filbert: A flat brush with a rounded edge. Use for everything from base coating to applying washes, and for creating thin, flowing organic shapes.
Bright: A bright is essentially a flat brush, but their shorter bristles make them great for blending colours and neatening edges.
Angular:These flat bristles are at an angle. Use for sharp highlights and shading.
Fan brush: Also a flat brush but with the bristles splayed out. Can be used for drybrush techniques as well as blending and creating textures.

Golden Taklon:

  • Synthetic, soft artist-quality bristle resembling red sable
  • Compatible with all paint types
